Studying law at the Institute of Law over the last two years has been an enriching experience that offers valuable skills for both personal and professional growth. I was very fortunate to complete the CertHE in common law first, at the institute before moving onto the second year of the LLB. This is a great opportunity for those who may not meet the standard requirements required for the LLB. At the Institute you are immersed in a structured environment where you gain a deep understanding of legal principles, critical thinking, and analytical reasoning.

The timetable is designed to be flexible to accommodate students who work and wish to gain a legal qualification at the same time. The workshops allow you to have dedicated law discussions with your lecturers and peers, preparing you for a variety of careers in law and beyond. It’s an environment where knowledge is continually expanded, and you are encouraged to develop a practical understanding of the law.
